Byron Edwards is from Detroit, Michigan. He earned his Bachelors Degree in Organizational Management at Colorado Christian University. He has over 20 years of distinguished military service throughout the United States, Europe, and Southwest Asia, in addition to an outstanding 16 years in the civilian private and public sectors. He has broad-based experience in construction management, facility management, and training development. He is an International Facility Management Association (IFMA) member and certified instructor teaching courses for IFMA. He is an experienced civic board and organization member serving in various capacities from Committee Chairs to Chapter President. The local chapter of IFMA has recognized him with numerous awards, including: Outstanding Contribution by a New Member (2007), Outstanding Contribution by a Professional Member, and Outstanding Contribution by a Distinguished Member (2008). He has a unique hobby…he enjoys being a DJ, bringing the beauty of music to others. He also loves to travel, play basketball and offer development to help people realize their potential. Byron has a passion for giving back to the community. Having two decades of military service along with his private and public sector roles, BYron is an invaluable resource for LID Foundation. He is enthusiastic about offering perspectives on the various options available for children making critical decisions about their future.
